We looked long and hard at this before changing the schedule. I know it may conflict with some of you and I am sorry. We made as little changes as were necessary to make this a fun, safe event. My name is Chris DuBurg and its my fault, feel free to call me at 559 261 4659.
Ladies First
The Biggest change is moving the Women Elite A/B to the 10 am race instead of 11:15. This has been the hottest action of the day with the closest racing action out there and we needed to put them out in front of the B men race. As a spectator, If you miss this race you will be sorry. I’ve seen a couple of retired pros out there playing in the mud. Each time we have had a different winner and the women have been racing hard. Beware B men when you hear a woman behind you saying on your left, they will be lapping you, move to the side and let them through.
NEW PODIUM TIMES
We are changing our results system, so we can do the podium within 30 minutes (hopefully) of the finish of the race. So the B racers wont be waiting 3 hours to get awards anymore. We have some people traveling to our little local event and they need to get home and fill their new pint glass.
We are messing with the Single Speeders again
SS will go back to the original time of 30 minutes (4 laps). Otherwise we would have to make it an hour long. Sorry. If you feel this is too short you can SS against any class you choose. Last race Julian took on and beat all the A men without the aid of a shifter.
Separate but Equal
And finally we are separating the classes (ie juniors, C women, C men) out with 2 minute time gaps. So you can get broken up a bit before you all get caught up in the mud pit. With exception of Master Classes. They are mixing it up with the Senior classes still. Mainly because if the A Master is faster than the A Men, he will take home the money.

MAKING IT RAIN
So now that I got that out there, there will be quite a bit the same and new in ways that wont get people mad at me. It looks, it may rain Thursday. 20% chance, but still. And Rick will be making it rain somewhere on the course. Maybe the same sort of mud bog we had last time, maybe new location. We will see. Never know what he will do. But count on at least some rain. maybe 6″ in a 20 yard area.

Keep an eye out for some new twists on the course. You wont know until Saturday for sure what they are, but count on a tight twisty section added

We have had record number of racers out here this year the racing has been awesome in every class. Thanks for coming out and helping us have fun, raise money for trail projects and to put towards our mountain bike race the Big Sandy. It is expensive to put on, really more of a “Fun Raiser” but its a celebration of all the hard work of our trail crew so its worth every penny Mark spends on the ice trailer.
